A fourth-generation county resident originally from Bedford, Parker said that is also at the root of her run. In recent
times, she has taken an interest in more widespread county issues like the planned redevelopment of Playland.
Since 1997, she has also owned a small travel store, Parker’s, located on Purchase Street in Rye.
“It seems clear that I have a skill set that will bring positive change to the county,” Parker said in her email to Rye
district leaders. “I will bring my common sense, small business experience, and collegial nature to the new job.”
